Dr Simon Meagher graduated from National University Dublin 1984. He commenced his postgraduate training in Maternal-Fetal medicine at the Hammersmith and Northwick Park Hospitals in London. Subspecialty training in ultrasound was obtained at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney 1991 and later Monash Medical Centre Melbourne 1993. He was appointed Consultant Obstetrician / Gynaecologist / Ultrasonologist to the Mercy Hospital for women in June 1996. In November 1996 he was appointed Director of Monash Ultrasound for Women, Monash IVF Melbourne. Dr Meagher is a board examiner for the Australian society for ultrasound in medicine (ASUM) diploma in diagnostic ultrasound (DDU). He has over 50 publications in local and peer review journals.
